The Infinity v1 series is the result of a 3D illusion test I did in Strata 3D. Intended as a preliminary test for another idea, I realized the potential of the effect and rendered a series of "themed" abstract images, intended for use as desktop backgrounds.

The illusion of an infinite space was created by having the desired content (in this case, a textured tube with mirror balls) placed between two mirrors. This reflects the arrangement back and forth infinitely (actually only 200 times, due to the reflection limit of Strata 3D 3.9.) At the time, I intended to create far more complex scenes, hence the "v1" for "version 1." I will probably revisit the idea in the future, when inspiration strikes.

The following images are the different variatons I did using the Infinity v1 template. Several of the variations were created using multiple layers, and one was the result of a fortuitous Photoshop accident.
